4. You will become bulkier if you lift heavy weights
None of this is true, either. Lifting heavy weights can slim you down, as proven in the study that was published in the Medicine and Science Journal. Your body shape will develop exactly the same way when you do more repetitions with lighter weights as when you perform the same exercises with heavier weights. The difference is that training with heavier weights helps you burn more calories.
